The Normal Heart, A Staged Reading
Thursday December 1, 7 PM
Suggested donation: $20 adults, $15 students
Chandler Pride presents a staged reading of Larry Kramer's Tony Award winning play, The Normal Heart. The play was a searing wake-up call about the AIDS crisis and remains as relevant today as when it was first produced in 1985. Dan Butler directs the production in commemoration of World AIDS Day.
Proceeds will benefit two AIDS Service Organizations serving Orange County – Vermont CARES and the HIV/HCV Resource Center (formerly known as ACoRN). Butler is perhaps best known for his role as Bulldog on the sitcom Frasier; he’s also been featured in roles in Prayers for Bobby and Crazy, Stupid Love.
The performance will be followed by a lively panel discussion and a reception for audience members and performers. The suggested donation is $20 and seating may be reserved by calling the Chandler Box Office at 802-728-6464 between 3 and 6 PM weekdays.
This production has generous sponsorship support from The Samara Foundation of Vermont.
