JigJam, an award-winning quartet from the heart of the Midlands in Ireland, will bring their unique blend of traditional Irish music with bluegrass and Americana to the Chandler stage at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6. Tickets are $20 with reserved seating to allow for social distancing.

Described by Midwest Records as “an Irish band that’s going to impact the world as hard as The Clancy Brothers or U2 if they get only half a chance,” JigJam has built an international following. They have made an impact on the Irish American circuit and performed as a headline act at major festivals, including the world-renowned Telluride Bluegrass Festival and Milwaukee Irish Fest, as well as touring the United Kingdom and Europe.

Members Jamie McKeogh, Cathal Guinan and Daithi Melia hail from Tullamore, Co. Offaly, with Co. Tipperary-born Gavin Strappe completing the quartet. All four grew up immersed in traditional Irish music and culture, which is reflected by the band collectively achieving over 20 All-Ireland titles at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann competitions. They have developed their own unique style of music influenced by American folk music while staying true to their Irish roots. On stage these multi-instrumentalists deliver an energy-fueled, foot-stomping live performance, interchanging between banjos, guitars, fiddles, mandolins and double bass to create an experience that is pleasing to the eye and the ear.

JigJam has recorded two studio albums to critical acclaim, “Oh Boy!” (2014) and “Hello World” (2016), as well as a live album, “Live in Tullamore” (2017).
