Chandler is proud to present another exciting season of diverse performances. In addition to our MainStage series, we offer Live & Upstairs, a series of smaller, more intimate performances in the renovated Esther Mesh Room in Chandler’s Upper Gallery. The Daytime Performance Series serves hundreds of youth from area schools and homeschool families, and is open to the general public, as well.

The 2018-2019 Season
Longtime Chandler favorites Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy continue to bring their fans on a musical and personal journey. For this special visit to Vermont on St. Patrick’s Day weekend, they’ll feature their children alongside dancers and singers from the Celtic-flavored traditions of their Cape Breton and Ontario homelands. This spirited evening highlights the unique talents, influences, and stories of the first family of traditional fiddling through dancing, singing and, of course, world-class music-making.

With meticulous vocals and superb instrumental acumen, Low Lily’ plays acoustic music that is deeply rooted in tradition yet sounds refreshingly contemporary The band’s signature blend is rooted in Celtic traditions and the folk music of the rural South. Flynn Cohen’s deft flatpicking on guitar and mandolin weaves seamlessly with Lissa Schneckenburger’s formidable fiddle-playing, all grounded by Liz Simmons’ percussive rhythm guitar. Rock-solid double bassist Corey DiMario often joins the core trio in concert. Their mellifluous voices all blend just as beautifully. Together and individually, the group has performed with some of the leading lights of contemporary roots, folk, and Celtic music, including Ruth Moody, Livingston Taylor, Solas, Crooked Still, and the Karan Casey Band.
