I support Chandler because supporting everyone's access to the arts is imperative to a healthy community. Chandler's uniquely fantastic music hall, art gallery, and events space are not merely shining jewels of the White River Valley — they are safe havens for all people to gather, collaborate, inspire, and be inspired. Also the acoustics are miraculous.

Growing up in a small North Idaho town, my family was very involved in the Arts, helping to bring artists to our town from across the US and around the world. I met folk musicians and ballerinas and Classical pianists and all sorts of other folks, and I also got to see them perform. Those fun, moving, inspiring experiences continue to reverberate, as does the knowledge that behind the fun and the inspiration there’s a lot of stuffing envelopes, setting up chairs, and baking cookies. I am excited that Randolph has a world class performance venue, event space and gallery, and to be able to help out by serving on the Board of Directors.

I support Chandler because it was the first place where I really saw my kids fall in love with Theater and Music!  My experience with the youth programs has shown me that it is a very important opportunity to be a part of something exciting in just the right way for each individual.  This is true for adults as well as youth.  Chandler gave me the chance to challenge myself to put it all out there on stage and it was a profound experience! Having an arts facility like this one in our small town is an amazing advantage to living here! 

I support Chandler because I have seen how what’s presented here changes not just individual lives but a whole community. 

When Vermont Pride Theater began at Chandler in 2010, Central Vermont was a hotbed of “Take Back Vermont” activity directed against LGBTQ Vermonters. After ten years of sharing on the Music Hall stage the concerns and issues of these Vermonters, with related conversations in the community and publicity throughout the media, our region moved on to fully supporting “love whomever you love.” Great work, Chandler!
