The Next Generation: Up and Coming Classical Talent
Each spring, Chandler Center for the Arts opens its stage to some of the most gifted young musicians in the region.
This year’s program promises something for every classical music lover. Solo performances will highlight the breadth of talent among the region’s young musicians, and the evening will culminate in a special closing piece by a 15-member ensemble from Upper Valley Music Center.

Floydian Trip
Echoes Through Time: From the Piper to the Bell
Floydian Trip brings the music of Pink Floyd to life with stunning detail and massive sound. This one-night-only concert spans Floyd’s legendary catalog—from their earliest recordings, through the iconic albums that defined a generation, to the emotional sweep of their final work.

All The Rivers
All the Rivers is a global ensemble of immigrant and refugee musicians from 10 countries who now call Vermont home. Founded in 2024 by musical director Avi Salloway (Billy Wylder / Bombino), the group has quickly emerged as a vibrant artistic force for belonging and justice, shaped by the political, environmental, and social pressures facing immigrant communities worldwide.
This performance features Steeve Valcourt and Nadine Niles of Haiti’s Lakou Mizik; Colombian singer-songwriter Cintia Lovo; balafon master Ousmane Camara of Guinea, violinist Ernesto Villalobos of Veracruz, Mexico, West African percussionists, and Japanese American drummer Daiki Hirano, in collaboration with Salloway.

Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival presents Erik Friedlander: Block Ice & Propane
"Block Ice & Propane" is a vivid musical road journal, a collection of pieces that conjure the feel of endless interstate drives, small-town truck stops, and the wide, empty stretches of the American landscape. Drawing deeply from American roots and folk traditions, Cellist Erik Friedlander transforms these influences into something uniquely his own.
