Rachel Dickson

Rachel Dickson is the Artistic Associate at The Ensemble Theatre and adjunct instructor of theater at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas where she also serves the artistic community as an actor, director, educator and playwright. Her most exciting works have included: The Waiting Room, The Ballad of Emmett Till (The Ensemble Theatre at the National Black Theatre Festival);Belonging (Playwright, Producer, Actor - DTC/The Ensemble Theatre); Seven Guitars, An American Menu, Plenty of Time, One Short Sighted Black Woman versus Safreeta Mae and Mammie Louis, Cinderella (Actor - The Ensemble Theatre); Pipeline, Platanos Y Collard Greens (Director - The Ensemble Theatre); Neat, Harlem After Hours (Director - Prairie View A&M University;Third (Actor - Main Street Theater); Sameness (Playwright – Contemporary Art Museum Houston; Erie Canal(Playwright-Fade to Black Festival 2016), To Each His Own (Playwright - SWH 10x10 Festival 2016); Trombone Trash (Playwright – SWH 10x10 Festival 2013, published with Next Stage Press); devised work writer/producer for multiple conferences.
