The Vermont Fiddle Orchestra spring program features tunes from Scotland, Ireland, Scandinavia, and Appalachia, along with a Sephardic waltz, two compositions by Peter Macfarlane, and a haunting air by Viveka Fox. The concert also highlights three smaller ensembles of orchestra members, including one made up of octogenarian musicians.
The VFO is led by Music Director Peter Macfarlane and Assistant Music Director Susan Reid. Admission is by donation.
The orchestra gratefully acknowledges support from Vermont Violins, Vermont Mutual Insurance Company, and Northfield Savings Bank.
